SHIPPING

Q: Where do you ship from?

A: We ship from High Point, NC for Stocking Dealers and FOB High Point orders and directly from country of origin for Container orders.

Q: Do you drop ship?

A: We mainly work with carriers that will only deliver to a place of business that has a loading dock, or receiving area. However, we can check with shippers for drop ship request.

Q: Do you blanket wrap or box?

A: We box all items.

Q: How much is my freight cost for my order?

A: Our shipping department will provide the rate once they receive it from the shipper depending on your location. Shipping costs vary based on fuel surcharges and will be quoted at the time of request.

Q: Will you bill me for the freight charge?

A: The freight charge is payable directly to the shipper upon delivery of the goods. Bluefish Home will not invoice you for the freight.

Q: Whom do you use to ship my order?

A: Our shipping staff will provide you with the best rate quote available for your shipping destination. We have a variety of companies with whom we regularly compare rates and service levels.

Q: How long does it take to receive my order?

A: Bluefish Home will prepare a shipment for pick-up within 3 to 7 business days of the order placement. The shipping company will provide a window of transit times. This varies based on your geographic location.

Q: I have an account with a shipping company. Can you use them?

A: Certainly, we can make arrangements with the shipper of your choice.

Q: What is the delivery status of my order?

A: You can contact the shipping company directly to obtain this information. The tracking number for your shipment can be found on the bill of lading faxed to you when the order was picked up from our warehouse.

Q: Can I combine shipments from several factories into one container order?

A: At this time, we are only able to ship direct containers from each factory.

Q: How do we calculate shipping rates and delivery times?

A: Shipping rates and delivery times are subject to change by the shipper. We are not responsible for any delays once the goods are picked up from our warehouse. We stand behind our products 100%; however damages caused during shipping have to be claimed with the carriers. Please note that shipping rates provided are for estimate purpose only.
 

 

PRODUCTS

Q: Do you do custom work?

A: Our design and production staff will be happy to discuss custom work for large volume orders.

Q: Can I order wood samples?

A: Yes. Please contact us directly for samples.

Q: How do I care for the furniture?

A: We recommend regular dusting with a soft damp cloth and dry cloth finish. Protect from sunlight, heat and liquids. Do not use any alcohol-based products.

Q: I have just received two items from the same collection that look slightly different.

A: Wood characteristics such as the grain and knots are all natural individual qualities. Each piece is hand finished making every item unique.

Q: Where are the furniture products made?

A: All wood furniture products are made in Honduras. The pieces are hand distressed and hand planed by local artisan.

Q: What wood is used in the furniture products?

A: All products except the Copenhagen are made from a Central American hardwood called Ocote. This wood has similar properties to Mahogany.

Copenhagen is made from Primavera wood also similar to Mahogany.

Q: Are any of your products green friendly?

A: Primavera wood used on the Copenhagen line is part of the sustainable forest. We also offer water based stains on the Vincent Sheppard loom chairs.

Q: Should I put polyurethane on the top of the wood products?

A: We do not recommend coating our products in polyurethane. Every wood product is treated with a wax finish to help maintain the natural texture and finish of the wood.

Q: If I don’t receive hardware with the pieces I ordered what should I do?

A: Please contact our customer service department and they can get some additional hardware sent if needed. 770-509-8472 x 109.
